This cotton double-weave scarf combines horizontal and vertical stripes with stiff kibiso threads woven in-between to create a crinkled texture. Kibiso comes from the tough outermost layers of the silk cocoon--fibers that have traditionally been impossible to weave. NUNO has been instrumental in developing new ways to use this biproduct of the silk industry.
